NorthKey Community Care is seeking an Early Childhood Consultant who will be full-time on-site, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, at our Covington location on Madison Ave.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or above in a field of study related to behavioral health from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with Early Childhood populations and their families is preferred.
- Experience working with substance use is preferred.
JOB DUTIES
- Implements and maintains the Behavioral Healthcare program's philosophy, principles, and procedures in all facets of performance related to the assigned treatment program.
- Provide services and conducts self in a manner consistent with the professional Code of Conduct of NorthKey Community Care.
- Assess clients and/or provide therapy, counseling, intervention, consultation, and/or education to clients in a professional manner as described in the client's treatment plan to achieve identified goals.
- Provide clinically appropriate treatment based on mental health assessment and treatment plans.
- Provide consultation to appropriate community members, clients, and others regarding Early Childhood development, the impact of substance use on children and families, and how to work effectively with substance-exposed infants and families affected by substance use.
- Provide training to internal staff and external groups and individuals about substance use and the effects on children and families.
- Work closely with other team members, including Early Childhood and Prevention staff, to address community needs related to substance use.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation regarding assessment and therapy. Meet all documentation requirements as defined by NorthKey policies.
- Ensure continuous reimbursable sessions for assigned clients.
- Fully participate in staff development opportunities offered to enhance professional growth, especially to maintain license, certification, or identified program performance skills.
- Utilize most appropriate evidence-based practice(s) to address clients' needs.
- Develop treatment plans for clients based upon clients' own words regarding areas of need, their diagnoses and symptoms, utilizing discipline-informed theories and interventions.
- Participate in planned supervision and case consultation conferences as necessary. Come prepared to meetings and keep the clinical and/or administrator informed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Adhere to confidentiality in all matters pertaining to client information.
- Maximize efficiency and effective use of time in maintaining accurate and punctual time reporting.
- Attend internal meetings relating to responsibilities and duties.
- Maintain a professional and business-like manner in dealing with all internal staff, Board members, state and governmental staff, sub-contractors, and vendors of NorthKey.
- Represent NorthKey in a professionally appropriate manner.
